Introduction

Psychotherapy — the art of blending reality with imagination to create health, awareness and empowerment.

If you are experiencing emotional pain, anger, sadness or confusion, I can help you. We all have an inner wisdom and wellbeing, a clear sense of self, a magic. When your ability to feel good about yourself and your life has been damaged or distorted by biology or experience, you may need assistance to heal, to bring your magic to life.

A collaborative effort

You and I work collaboratively to build or restore your unique set of psychological strengths and resources. We may use any of the following strategies.

  • changing behavior
  • revising attitudes and thoughts
  • examining and strengthening healthy beliefs
  • completing transformational homework
  • journaling thoughts and feelings
  • inviting another member of your family to come to sessions with you

Experience

As a clinical psychologist, I bring to my work many years of experience in trauma-related work, relationship counseling, spiritual exploration, and personal growth. Trained as a scientist-practitioner, I use therapeutic methods that have been shown to be effective.
